Most camera decisions in Dubai boardrooms go wrong the same way — by price, not geometry.
A deep narrow room gets a wide-angle camera because it was cheaper. The far end of the table disappears into a pixel. A round discussion table gets a wall-mounted PTZ because that's what the room next door has. The camera pans between speakers with a half-second lag and the remote team loses the conversation. A large room with thirty seats gets a single-lens bar because the quotation was simple. The last two rows are unreadable.
None of these cameras are wrong on their own. They're wrong for those rooms. The UVC86 was designed for the deep boardroom: it reaches with optical zoom, tracks smoothly, and when multiple cameras are needed the AVHub coordinates them as a single system. Not all cameras support all capabilities. These are the ones that shape the decision.
The camera follows the speaker
UVC86, SmartVision 80 and SmartVision 60 all track whoever is speaking — the remote end sees the right face at the right moment without anyone operating the camera. The tracking runs on-device, not on a server, so there is no lag introduced by network round-trips.
Every person their own tile
The SmartVision 60 is Microsoft-certified for multi-stream — each person at the table gets their own front-on video stream. The SmartVision 80 supports Multi-stream IntelliFrame when paired with a Windows MCore system. Both require a Teams Rooms Pro licence to activate.
Optical reach to twenty metres
The SmartVision 80's 20x optical zoom brings a face at the back of an auditorium to the same apparent size as a face at the front — without digital softening. The UVC86 reaches with 12x optical zoom. Neither interpolates; both zoom in glass.
Every seat visible from the table centre
The SmartVision 60 sees all 360 degrees from the centre of the table — there is no seat that faces away from it, and no angle that puts anyone side-on to the lens. The camera that ended the argument about where to sit.
ProAV signal routing over the network
The SmartVision 80 carries full NDI and Dante compatibility — video over IP and audio over IP, natively. Connects into existing Dante audio networks and multi-camera NDI production setups without converters. The camera for AV integrators building systems, not just rooms.
The camera follows the presenter, not just the voice
The UVC86 supports three Presenter Tracking modes: Wide Area (anywhere in the room), Stage (within a defined area), and Segment (between defined positions). The camera keeps the presenter framed front-on as they move — useful for training rooms, lectern-based presentations and divisible venues.
Physical lens cover — not a software setting
SmartVision 60 and SmartVision 80 both carry automatic privacy shutters — a physical cover that closes when the meeting ends, not a software toggle. The UVC40 E2 carries an electric lens cap. When the shutter is closed, the lens is covered and the room can verify it.
Any laptop, any platform — one cable
The UVC40 E2 is a standard UVC/UAC device — plug into any laptop and it works with Teams, Zoom, Meet or Webex without drivers. For small rooms and BYOD setups where a full room system is not the answer, it delivers the AI tracking and auto-framing of the wider Yealink line in a single USB camera.

UVC86 — the camera most Dubai boardrooms need, and the one connection rule that matters
The UVC86 is in more UAE meeting rooms than any other Yealink camera. Two eyes, one rule, and a connection that most people get wrong.
Two cameras in one housing: a PTZ camera with 12x optical zoom and a 90° field of view, and a panoramic camera with a 120° view of the full room. The AI runs on-device — it watches both feeds, decides which one frames the speaker best, and delivers the composite to the far end with no perceptible lag. Remote attendees see a director's cut of the meeting, not a fixed wide shot.
The connection rule that matters: the UVC86 connects via the Yealink VCH protocol over a Cat6 cable to the AVHub. It does not connect to the room's LAN switch. Plugging it into the LAN is a common installation mistake that breaks AI tracking and causes frame drops — the VCH protocol carries the camera data in a dedicated path that the room's network switch was not designed to handle. Every VDS installation routes the UVC86 correctly from day one.
The scaling path: one UVC86 serves a standard boardroom. When the room grows — a larger space, a divisible venue, a council chamber — the AVHub accepts up to nine UVC86 cameras as a coordinated system. The cameras share tracking intelligence; the AVHub acts as the director. Nine cameras behave as one system.
Mounting options
Table, TV stand, tripod, wall-mounted, ceiling-mounted, or top-of-TV. The UVC86 fits wherever the room's geometry places the camera — no specialist bracket required for most standard installations.
Three Presenter Tracking modes
Wide Area tracks anywhere in the room. Stage tracks within a defined zone — a raised platform or lectern area. Segment tracks between two defined positions. Set at commissioning; changes which meetings the room is built for.
MVC860 and MVC S90
The UVC86 is the camera inside both the MVC860 base-kit (one camera, MCore Pro) and the MVC S90 multi-camera system (multiple UVC86s with MCore 4 and AVHub). Same camera, different scale.
Zoom Smart Gallery and Intelligent Director
On the Zoom side, the UVC86 in the ZVC860 and ZVC S90 supports Smart Gallery (individual tiles) and Intelligent Director (AI-cut view switching). The same tracking intelligence, available to the Zoom platform.

SmartVision 60 — centre of table
Built in collaboration with Microsoft, the SmartVision 60 sits at the centre of the table and sees all 360 degrees. Every person gets their own front-on video frame — a Microsoft-certified multi-stream device, so name labels appear in Teams underneath each face. Live transcription identifies who said what. Privacy cover with LED status syncs with meeting state. The camera for round-table discussion, legal conference rooms, and any space where the conversation moves around the table rather than toward a display wall.
SmartVision 80 — quad-lens large room
Four lenses in one body: panoramic, two telephoto, PTZ. The camera selects and coordinates the right lenses for what the room needs at each moment — a wide view, a close-up, or a tracked presenter. 20x optical zoom brings the back of a 20-person room to the front. NDI and Dante compatibility make it the camera AV integrators specify for auditoriums, council chambers and large multi-use spaces. Four connection rules every Yealink camera installation follows
UVC86: VCH protocol — never the LAN switch
The UVC86 connects via the Yealink VCH protocol over Cat6 directly to the AVHub. Plugging it into the room's LAN switch breaks AI tracking and introduces frame drops. The dedicated VCH path is what the protocol requires, and every VDS installation routes it correctly.
SmartVision 60: USB to MCore
The SmartVision 60 connects via USB to the MCore mini-PC. The multi-stream processing runs on the device itself — no additional processing unit between the camera and the PC. The connection is direct, the path is single, and the system is clean.
SmartVision 80: USB + optional AVHub for multi-camera
The SmartVision 80 connects via USB or network for standalone use. In multi-camera configurations, the AVHub coordinates feeds. NDI and Dante signals route over the network. ProAV integrations are scoped at survey — the connection path depends on the wider system.
UVC40 E2: USB plug-and-play
Standard USB connection — no special protocol, no dedicated path. Works with any laptop, any room PC, any platform. Remote management via YMCS requires a wired network connection to the camera. Otherwise: plug in, it works.
