Description

Fanvil X3SG Entry-Level Gigabit IP Phone, 4 SIP Lines, 2.8-inch Colour Display Dubai

The job is not always a 100-extension head office. Sometimes it is a 12-desk office in JLT, a small clinic in Sharjah, a branch counter in Ajman, or a Dubai warehouse where the old analogue PABX finally needs to go. The buyer does not need a receptionist console. They need a proper SIP phone with Gigabit passthrough, colour display, PoE, clear voice, and no surprise power issue on installation day.

That is where the Fanvil X3SG fits. It is an entry-level colour-screen Gigabit IP phone for staff desks and project rollouts where the desk still deserves a better phone than the lowest model in the range. Vector Digital Systems supplies the Fanvil X3SG from Dubai with staging, provisioning, and installation across the UAE, so the phone is not just boxed and shipped. Extensions are registered, templates are applied, test calls are made, and project batches are prepared before dispatch.

What the Fanvil X3SG is

The Fanvil X3SG is an entry-level SIP desk phone with a 2.8-inch 320 × 240 colour screen, 4 SIP lines, HD voice on the handset and speakerphone, Opus and G.722 wideband audio, dual 10/100/1000 Mbps network ports, and integrated PoE. It is a good fit for a staff desk where the user needs more than a basic two-line phone, but does not need a large DSS screen or operator keys.

Think accounts desks, sales coordinators, back-office users, small reception points, clinic counters, and branch offices. The phone supports handset, hands-free, and headset use. It also supports EHS headset connection through compatible EHS cables, useful for staff who answer calls while checking a CRM, stock screen, or appointment calendar.

For Dubai PABX replacement projects, the X3SG is often quoted where the site already has Cat6 to the desks and the IT manager wants one phone model for most users. It keeps the network side clean because the PC can sit behind the phone on the second Gigabit port. One wall data point. Phone plus workstation. No extra small switch under the table.

Specification Fanvil X3SG detail
SIP lines 4 SIP lines

4 SIP lines — what that means on a real desk

“4 SIP lines” does not mean the staff member can make four outside calls at the same time. SIP lines are registered accounts and call appearances. They tell you how many identities and call slots the phone can handle on screen. Actual simultaneous calling depends on the PABX, SIP trunk, call permissions, and how the extension is configured.

On a normal office desk, one SIP account is enough: extension 214 for accounts, extension 306 for sales, extension 118 for reception support. The extra line appearances help when the user has one call on hold, receives a second internal call, parks a call, or makes a supervised transfer. Four lines give room for that daily office behaviour without pushing the buyer into a bigger phone.

Sizing guidance for UAE projects

Use the X3SG for staff desks that need colour display, Gigabit passthrough, PoE, and 4 SIP lines. Use a larger Fanvil model only where the user needs more BLF keys, more screen space, or a receptionist view of other extensions. Send us your desk count and PABX platform on WhatsApp and we confirm the right model.

This is why the X3SG works well in mixed rollouts. A Dubai office can use X3SG phones for most staff desks, a Fanvil X303G where the newer X300 range is preferred, and a larger Fanvil phone at reception where BLF visibility matters more than line count. The buying rule is simple: staff need good calling and network passthrough; reception needs to see who is busy before transferring.

The small detail that makes the X3SG useful: Gigabit on an entry desk

Many entry phones are acceptable for voice but poor for desk cabling. The moment a PC sits behind the phone, 10/100 ports become a complaint. The X3SG uses dual Gigabit ports, so the user’s workstation can connect through the phone without cutting the desk network speed down to old Fast Ethernet limits.

That matters in Business Bay, DMCC, JAFZA, DIP, and Dubai Internet City fit-outs where one data point may already be allocated per desk. With the X3SG, one Cat6 run can feed the phone and the PC. It saves a switch port per user and avoids messy mini-switches on the floor. Across 30 or 50 desks, that is a real installation difference.

The phone also has a 1.5 metre CAT5 Ethernet cable in the package, a back rack, handset, handset wire, and two adjustable desktop angles. Wall mounting is supported, but the wall hanging parts are additional. For a project quote, we confirm table-stand or wall-mount placement before dispatch so the accessories are not missed.

Voice quality in plain words

The X3SG supports HD voice on the handset and speakerphone. In normal office terms, that means voices sound less flat and less narrow when both sides of the call path support wideband audio. G.722 and Opus are the important codecs here. Opus is useful where network conditions vary because it can handle a wider range of voice applications.

The phone also supports full-duplex acoustic echo cancelling, voice activity detection, comfort noise generation, background noise estimation, noise reduction, and automatic gain control. For the user, this is not a feature list to memorise. It means calls stay more natural on speakerphone, background noise is handled better, and the handset does not sound like an old analogue extension.

For a sales office in Dubai, a clinic in Abu Dhabi, or a small warehouse admin desk in Sharjah, this is the difference between “cheap IP phone” and “proper desk phone”. The X3SG stays in the entry-level budget lane but still gives the user a colour screen, clear voice, headset support, and Gigabit passthrough.

Power and network truth for the X3SG

The Fanvil X3SG has integrated PoE and dual Gigabit Ethernet ports. In a correct office deployment, the phone is powered from the PoE switch in the comms room. One cable to the desk powers the phone and carries data. The PC then connects to the phone’s PC port.

Power adapter is optional, not the default assumption

The official X3SG datasheet lists integrated PoE and optional external power supply. If your switch is not PoE, ask for the Fanvil power adapter in the same quote. We confirm PoE switch availability during staging so the installer does not discover a missing power brick at the desk.

The official datasheet does not state a PoE class for the X3SG. It does state power consumption of 0.9W to 1.65W idle and 1.8W to 2.95W peak, with 5V/0.6A DC input when an adapter is used. For project work, we size the PoE switch from the actual phone count, switch model, and any other PoE devices on that floor.

For a 40-desk office, this check matters. Phones, access points, cameras, and door stations may all be drawing from the same network plan. Vector Digital Systems reviews the desk count, switch type, and PABX design before quoting X3SG batches for Dubai and UAE rollouts.

Current status note: X3SG is not the same as X3SG Pro or X3SG Lite

This page is for the exact Fanvil X3SG model. Fanvil also has X3SG Pro and X3SG Lite names in the wider family, but those are separate models. For this page, the model is not written as “replacement” and not mixed with the Pro or Lite variants.

The practical project point: when a procurement team sends “X3SG” in a BOQ, we quote X3SG. If they send “X3SG Pro” or “X3SG Lite”, we check that exact model separately before quoting. One letter or suffix can change display, line count, PoE detail, or stock status in the Fanvil range.

BOQ check before supply

Send the exact model line from your BOQ: X3SG, X3SG Pro, or X3SG Lite. We verify the suffix, quote the correct Fanvil item, and stage only the confirmed model. This avoids mixed deliveries on PABX replacement jobs and reseller export orders.

Platform compatibility in Dubai projects

The Fanvil X3SG works as a standard SIP endpoint on common business telephony platforms used in the UAE, including 3CX, Grandstream UCM, Yeastar, Asterisk, and other SIP-based PABX systems. The phone supports SIP 2.0 over UDP, TCP, and TLS, with RTP, SRTP, STUN, VLAN, LLDP, QoS, and TR-069 for deployment and management.

For Etisalat and du business SIP services, the X3SG is normally placed behind the customer’s PABX. In smaller setups, direct SIP registration can also be used when the account design allows it. We check the SIP credentials, extension plan, outbound route, caller ID rule, and codec settings during staging.

Before dispatch, Vector Digital Systems can register the extension, apply the provisioning template, import the directory, set line keys, test inbound and outbound calls, and label the phone by user or location. For multi-site UAE projects, the batch can be packed by branch: Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Ajman, Ras Al Khaimah, Fujairah, and Umm Al Quwain.

Pricing, supply, and staging from Dubai

Fanvil X3SG pricing is quoted in AED for UAE supply and in FOB Dubai terms for export. We do not publish fixed prices because project quantities, adapter requirement, delivery location, staging work, and PABX platform all affect the final quote. For 10+, 25+, and 50+ unit batches, send the quantity and site location for project pricing.

Stock & Projects: Fanvil X3SG supply from Dubai. Same-day quote in AED on WhatsApp. Supply and installation across all 7 UAE emirates. Project quantities and MEA export — FOB Dubai pricing on request.

Staging means the phone is prepared before dispatch: extension registered, provisioning template applied, line keys set, phonebook loaded where required, VLAN or network settings applied where provided, and test calls made. For system integrators and PABX installers, this shortens site time. For end customers, it reduces the “why is my phone not working?” moment after delivery.

Frequently asked questions

Will the Fanvil X3SG work with our 3CX, Grandstream UCM, or Yeastar system?

Yes. The Fanvil X3SG is a standard SIP IP phone and is suitable for 3CX, Grandstream UCM, Yeastar, Asterisk, and other SIP-based PABX platforms. Vector Digital Systems can register the extension, apply the provisioning template, and test calls before delivery in Dubai or across the UAE.

Does the Fanvil X3SG come with a power adapter, or do I need PoE?

The X3SG has integrated PoE and the official datasheet lists the external power supply as optional. If your network switch provides PoE, one cable powers and connects the phone. If you do not have a PoE switch, we add the Fanvil power adapter to the same quote.

What does 4 SIP lines actually mean — can I make 4 calls at once?

No. Four SIP lines means the phone can handle 4 registered line appearances or accounts. It does not mean 4 outside calls are guaranteed at the same time. Simultaneous calling depends on your PABX, SIP trunk, call permissions, and provider capacity.

Fanvil X3SG vs X303G — what is the difference?

Both are 4-line Gigabit PoE desk phones for staff users. The X3SG has a 2.8-inch colour screen and is the exact model for BOQs that specify X3SG. The X303G belongs to the newer X300 range with a 2.4-inch colour screen. Choose by BOQ requirement, stock plan, and whether your project is standardising on X300 models.

Does Vector Digital Systems configure the Fanvil X3SG phones before delivery?

Yes. For project quantities, we stage the phones before dispatch: extension registration, provisioning template, line key setup, phonebook loading where required, and test calls. Phones can be labelled by user, extension, branch, or room before delivery.

Is the Fanvil X3SG covered under Fanvil warranty in the UAE?

Yes. Fanvil warranty is handled through Vector Digital Systems LLC in Dubai for supplied units. We support warranty coordination for UAE projects and export customers, subject to Fanvil warranty terms and the condition of the returned unit.

Is VoIP legal in the UAE and will the X3SG work with Etisalat or du?

Business VoIP is used in the UAE under TRA regulation through licensed services. The Fanvil X3SG can register through your PABX on Etisalat or du business SIP services, or directly where the account design permits. We configure it for licensed business use.

Who is the supplier of Fanvil X3SG in Dubai?

Vector Digital Systems LLC is an authorised Fanvil supplier in Dubai, UAE, operating since 2009. We supply the Fanvil X3SG with staging, provisioning, installation, warranty handling, and official quotations for procurement teams, IT managers, ELV contractors, resellers, and PABX installers.

What is the best entry-level Gigabit IP phone for staff desks in Dubai?

For a staff desk that needs 4 SIP lines, colour display, PoE, headset support, and Gigabit PC passthrough, the Fanvil X3SG is a strong choice. If the site wants the newer X300 family, choose the Fanvil X303G. If the user only needs 2 lines, the Fanvil X301G may be enough.

Do you give project pricing for 50 Fanvil X3SG phones?

Yes. We quote project pricing for 10+, 25+, and 50+ Fanvil X3SG phones, with VAT breakdown, delivery, staging, and any required power adapters included in the same proposal. For larger UAE rollouts, we can pack by branch or department.

Does Vector Digital Systems export Fanvil X3SG from Dubai?
