Wireless Content Sharing on Neat in Dubai & the UAE

No one should have to kneel under the table hunting for the adapter that carries video while the room waits. On a Neat device you share your screen wirelessly with no cable at all — or plug in with the one cable that works — and the meeting just moves. We supply and install it across the UAE, and set the room up so sharing is the easy part, not the embarrassing one.

The cable everyone watches you fail with

Twelve people are waiting, the meeting should already be running, and you're trying the third adapter from the drawer to find the one that actually carries video to the screen.

That moment — fumbling with dongles in front of a full room — is the thing that makes capable people look lost, and it's the reason so many meetings start five minutes late. A Neat room takes it away. Share your screen with no cable at all, or with the single cable that works, and get straight to the point. And because a Neat device runs apps of its own, the screen on the wall keeps earning its place between meetings instead of sitting dark. Below is exactly how the sharing works — and, just as importantly, where the limits are, so nothing surprises you on the day.

Four ways to get your screen on the wall

Different people share differently. A Neat room handles all of it, so no one is forced into a workflow that doesn't suit them.

No cable

Wireless from your laptop

Join on your laptop and hit Share. Teams finds the room over Bluetooth, Zoom by proximity — ultrasonic pairing, on by default. Flip on computer audio to send sound too.

Wired

One cable if you prefer

A single HDMI or USB-C straight into the device. One honest note: a single USB-C cable must support DisplayPort Alt Mode — a charge-only cable won't carry video, so we supply the right one.

ClickShare

Barco ClickShare

Neat Bar 2 and Neat Bar Pro are official Barco ClickShare partner devices — tap the puck and the room's camera, mics and speakers follow your laptop.

Beam an app

Neat Share into the call

Run a whiteboard or signage app on a Neat Board or Frame and send it straight into the Teams or Zoom call — no laptop in the loop. Detail just below.

The Differentiator

Neat Share — the trick a cable can't do

Everyday sharing puts your laptop on the screen. Neat Share does something only Neat does: it takes an app running on the device itself and sends it into the call.

Send an app straight into a Teams or Zoom call

Run a patent-pending Neat Share-enabled app — a whiteboard, a design board, signage — on a Neat Board or Neat Frame, and beam its output directly into the meeting. It arrives at the receiving end as a clean video input at the device's firmware level, so the remote people simply see it: no app account on their side, no laptop bridging the gap, and the native Teams or Zoom experience stays intact.

For a creative review, a teaching session or a live signage moment, this is the difference between "let me share my screen and talk you through it" and the content just being there, full and direct, for everyone on the call.

Where the limits are — so you plan around them
  • Video only — the audio comes from the room microphones, not the app.
  • Needs a paid Neat Pulse plan, and today runs on the preview update channel — we confirm your devices are ready before you rely on it.
  • The receiving room must be running Zoom or Teams (not a BYOD session), and sender and receiver must be in the same Pulse room.

The screen earns its place between meetings

A meeting screen that's dark twenty-three hours a day is expensive wall art. Through the Neat App Hub, the same device runs trusted apps — so it works all day, not just in calls.

Sharing to a Neat room — common questions

Can I share my screen to a Neat device without a cable?
Yes. Join the meeting on your laptop and select Share — Microsoft Teams discovers the room over Bluetooth and Zoom by proximity, using ultrasonic pairing, and auto-share is on by default. You can also turn on computer audio to send sound along with the picture. For most people in most rooms, wireless is the fastest way to get content on the screen, with no adapter to find.
What cable do I need if I want to plug in instead?
A single HDMI or USB-C cable connects straight to the device. The one thing to watch is that a single USB-C cable must support DisplayPort Alt Mode to carry video — an ordinary charge-only cable will power your laptop but show nothing on screen, which is a common cause of "it's not working." We supply and label the correct cable for each room so this never catches anyone out.
What is Neat Share and how is it different from normal screen sharing?
Normal sharing puts your laptop screen on the room display. Neat Share, which is patent-pending, takes an app running on the Neat device itself — such as a whiteboard or signage app — and sends it directly into the Teams or Zoom call as a clean video feed at firmware level. Remote participants see it with no app account and no laptop in the loop. It is video only, with audio coming from the room mics, and it needs a paid Neat Pulse plan with the receiving room on Zoom or Teams; we confirm your setup supports it before you depend on it.
Does a Neat room work with Barco ClickShare?
Yes. Neat Bar 2 and Neat Bar Pro are official Barco ClickShare partner devices. With a ClickShare puck plugged into a laptop, tapping it hands the room's camera, microphones and speakers to that laptop, which suits guest-heavy or BYOD-first rooms where people bring their own devices. We can specify ClickShare alongside the Neat device when that fits how your rooms are used.
Will my shared content look full quality during a call?
Viewed locally in the room, shared content is full resolution. Inside an active call, the meeting platform sets the limit, not the Neat device — for example, Zoom shares at 720p by default and 1080p on Business and higher plans. It is worth setting that expectation before a detail-heavy demo so no one is surprised, and we are happy to advise which plan tier matches the quality your content needs.
Can the Neat device be useful when there's no meeting running?
Yes, and this is often overlooked. Through the Neat App Hub, the device runs trusted third-party apps — digital signage and announcements, room and desk booking panels, and whiteboard apps such as Miro or Mural — all deployed and managed centrally through Neat Pulse. The screen that hosts your meetings also earns its keep between them, rather than sitting dark for most of the day.
