Google Meet · Workspace

If your business runs on Google Workspace, the room should too

When everything else lives in Google — mail, calendar, docs — the meeting room shouldn't be the one thing that needs a laptop and a prayer.

A Neat device certified for Google Meet shows the day's calendar on the screen, joins with one tap, and brings content and the gallery exactly as your team knows them from Meet. The camera frames each person individually so the far end sees faces, the audio lifts voices over the air-conditioning, and there's no separate PC to wake or update. The room is enrolled in your own Google Workspace, so it follows your organisation's policies — not a stranger's defaults.

The Licence Map

What you actually license for a Google Meet room

The hardware, the room license and the AI features are three separate things — and it's the AI features that trip people up, because they live with your Workspace edition, not the device. Here's the honest map, so the quote you approve is the cost you pay.

What you're buying
What it actually covers
The Neat device
The certified hardware and on-device intelligence — camera framing, audio processing and sensors. This is what we supply and install.
Google Meet hardware license
A per-device license that lets you enrol and manage the room as Google Meet hardware in the Google Admin console — central management, policies and monitoring. One per device; we include it in the quote.
Google Workspace edition
Your users' Workspace plan (Business or Enterprise) sets the meeting capabilities — participant limits, recording to Drive, and whether premium Meet features are available at all.
Gemini & AI features
"Take notes for me", transcripts, translated captions and Gemini-powered enhancements depend on the Workspace edition and any Gemini add-on held by the people in the meeting — not the room device. The Neat hardware captures clean audio so they work well; the output comes from your Google licensing.

What this means for you: tell us how many rooms and which Workspace edition you run, and we'll list the exact Google licenses beside the hardware — one clear quote, no day-one surprise. Ask us to map your licensing →

On Meet, but they're on Zoom or Teams?

A partner who runs a different platform shouldn't force you off Google Meet. Neat's Direct Guest Join lets your Meet room join their meeting — from the invite, without changing how your team works.

Cross-platform

Join Zoom or Webex

A Neat Google Meet room joins a Zoom or Webex meeting as a guest — one tap from the invite, or paste the link — at no extra subscription.

And Teams too

Teams via integration

Joining a Microsoft Teams meeting works through a licensed integration, which we scope with you up front — so it's planned and budgeted, not a day-one surprise.

Full experience

Symmetry stays active

Neat's individual framing keeps working inside the guest call — the framing runs on the device before the feed ever reaches the meeting client.

The honest limit

Said plainly

It's a web-based guest join: single-screen, and you present from a laptop rather than the room. The right tool for when a partner occasionally uses a different platform.

Buying Confidence

A Meet room that ages well — and isn't a one-way door

A meeting room is a multi-year commitment, so two facts matter more than the spec sheet — and one of them most pages quietly skip.

First, the current Neat Bars are certified for Google Meet through 2033 — a long support runway in writing, not a vague promise. Second, the part that catches people out: a Google Meet room must be enrolled in Neat Pulse to operate at all — which the free Pulse Starter included with every device covers, so it's a setup step, not an extra cost. (The separate Google Meet hardware license mapped above is the Google-side piece.) And because the same device can later switch to Teams or Zoom, with Neat's Symmetry, Boundary, Focus and audio running identically on all three, standardising on Google Meet today carries no lock-in.

Why Neat is a natural Google Meet choice

Google certifies the hardware allowed to run Meet as a managed room — and Neat is not just certified, it was named a 2026 Google Cloud Partner of the Year for Workspace innovation. The room is one sealed device your admins manage from the console.

Neat for Google Meet — common questions

Is Neat certified for Google Meet?
Yes. Neat devices including the Neat Bar, Neat Bar Pro, Neat Board and the Neat Pad controller are certified to run Google Meet, delivering the genuine Meet experience — calendar on screen, one-tap join, content and gallery — on hardware Google has approved for the platform. Neat was also named a 2026 Google Cloud Partner of the Year for Workspace innovation.
Do I need a Google Meet hardware license as well as the Neat device?
Yes. The Neat device is the certified hardware; a Google Meet hardware license — one per device — is what lets you enrol and manage the room as Google Meet hardware in the Google Admin console, with central policies and monitoring. We include the correct license in the quote alongside the hardware, so there are no surprises after purchase.
Do Google Meet's AI features like note-taking and transcripts come with the room?
Those features depend on your Google Workspace edition and any Gemini add-on held by the people in the meeting, not the room device itself. The Neat hardware captures clean audio so "take notes for me", transcripts and translated captions work well, but the output is delivered through your Workspace and Gemini licensing. We confirm what your edition includes so you get the outcomes you expect.
How are Neat Google Meet rooms managed?
Neat Google Meet rooms are managed in two complementary places: the Google Admin console, where they appear as Google Meet hardware for enrolment, policies and monitoring, and Neat Pulse, which adds device health, sensor data, firmware updates and remote provisioning across every site. We set both up during installation so your IT team has full visibility from day one.
Can the same Neat device also run Microsoft Teams or Zoom?
A Neat device runs one room platform at a time, so a device provisioned as a Google Meet room runs Meet. Neat devices can also operate in a BYOD or Neat Open mode for ad-hoc use of other apps from any laptop. If you need dedicated Microsoft Teams Rooms or Zoom Rooms instead, we cover those on their own pages and will advise the right setup for your mix of platforms.
How quickly can Vector Digital Systems install Neat Google Meet rooms in the UAE?
We typically survey the room, recommend the right device and provide a fixed quote within the same week, then install once you approve. Because a Neat room is one sealed device on a single cable, the on-site install is fast and tidy, and we enrol each device in your Google Workspace before or during installation so it is ready to use immediately.
Which areas of the UAE does Vector Digital Systems cover for Neat Google Meet rooms?
As of 2026, Vector Digital Systems supplies and installs Neat Google Meet rooms across all seven emirates — Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Ajman, Ras Al Khaimah, Fujairah and Umm Al Quwain — having delivered AV and IT in the UAE since 2009. In Dubai, active client zones include Business Bay, DIFC, Jumeirah Lake Towers (DMCC), Dubai Internet City, Dubai Media City and Downtown Dubai, with same-week site surveys available.
Can Vector Digital Systems supply Neat Google Meet rooms to other countries in the region?
Yes. From our Dubai base we export genuine Neat hardware for Google Meet across the Middle East, Africa and parts of Asia — including Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Oman, Kenya, Nigeria, Egypt, Ghana, Pakistan and more — enrolled in your Google Workspace before shipping and remotely managed through Neat Pulse. Message our export team with your country and room count for a quote.
