The one-box rung — VB130 to VB350
A video bar is camera, microphones and speakers in one housing with one USB cable to the laptop or room PC. For rooms inside its reach, simplicity has a ceiling — and this is it: no ceiling audio to commission, no separate speakerphone, no installer beyond a bracket.
Three bars cover three room sizes. The VB130 is the huddle unit: 4K, wide field of view and a built-in fill light for the small glass rooms where faces sit two metres from the lens and overhead lighting does them no favours. The VB342 Pro takes small-to-medium rooms with 4K video, audio-tracking framing and presentation tracking that holds a person working at a whiteboard. The VB350 is the large-room exception covered in depth on the large room page — dual-lens 4K with optical hybrid 18x zoom that keeps a genuine one-box answer working out to roughly nine metres, well past where single-lens bars fade.

The reach class — three PTZ cameras, three jobs
The room where the bar stopped working — where the faces at the far end turned to blur and the audio dropped before it reached the microphone — is a PTZ room. The lens moves on motors, glass moves, the zoom is optical not digital, and the far seat gets a proper close-up instead of an enlarged crop. All three current models carry 12x optical zoom, hold facial detail at distances no bar reaches, and output USB, HDMI and IP streaming from one unit. What separates them is how the camera decides where to look.
The CAM520 Pro3 is the directed workhorse: Full HD at 60 fps, SmartFrame auto-framing, presets recalled by remote, control system or microphone zones through Preset Link. The room, or its microphones, direct the lens. The CAM550 adds a second 4K lens — an AI overview camera watching the whole room while the PTZ lens frames — and takes steering from a FONE700 ceiling system or selected third-party ceiling microphones. The CAM570 directs itself: built-in voice sensors locate the active talker to ten metres and turn the lens with no operator and no external trigger.

Four models, most serious rooms. One question separates each.
Four current models cover most serious meeting rooms, and the decision runs on what the room needs that the others do not. Does the room need the camera to steer itself to whoever is speaking — no operator, no preset, just the lens turning to a voice? That is the CAM570, and it earns its place in rooms with no ceiling audio where the budget does not extend to a FONE700 chain. Does the room need optical zoom past five metres without voice steering — a council chamber, a training room, a preset-recalled view — and the budget runs tighter? The CAM520 Pro3, optical zoom, PTZ, the workhorse of the range. And does the room need two lenses in one bar — a wide for the room and a telephoto for the far seats — with the simplicity of a single USB connection? Camera and speakerphone on one line of the BOQ
If the room needs a PTZ camera and a speakerphone, and the goal is one order rather than specifying every piece separately, this section is the answer. The VC520 Pro3 pairs the optical-reach camera with an expandable speakerphone — one part number, one delivery from Dubai stock, one installation visit, and a room that is complete. The VC550 steps up with a motorised PTZ lens and a wider microphone array — the kit for rooms where both reach and coverage matter and the project does not want to source them independently.
Home-run cabling discipline applies to both: each USB device runs its own cable back to the room PC rather than daisy-chaining, which keeps USB signal reliable and makes a future matrix upgrade straightforward. Certified and compatible are not the same word
The compliance team asks: is this certified for Microsoft Teams? The honest answer has two parts. Every AVer USB camera is compatible with Teams, Zoom, Google Meet and Webex as a standard UVC device — the platform sees it as a camera the moment the USB cable is in. Certification is narrower and per-model: the CAM520 Pro3, CAM550, CAM570, VB342 Pro, VB350 and FONE700 appear on the current official certification lists, with several also carrying Google Meet certification, and exact coverage differs per model and per platform.
Where certification matters: organisations whose IT policy mandates certified peripherals, and platform-managed rooms where the certified badge is a procurement requirement. Where it does not: a BYOD room where any laptop drives the call. You pulled up the model from the last install to reorder — and now you cannot find it. The CAM530, CAM540 and CAM520 Pro are not discontinued in the sense of failing: they are probably still working in the rooms where they were installed. They are end-of-life in the sense that buying one today means entering at the end of the firmware lifecycle, with no upgrade path and a successor on the shelf that costs similar and does more. The row that finishes the room — ceiling audio and the 100-metre run
The camera is working. The far seats still can't be heard. That is an audio problem, not a camera problem — and solving it from the display wall, where a bar's microphone array sits, is geometrically impossible past a certain distance. The FONE540 and FONE700 ceiling speakerphones sit above the table, not at one end of it. Up to four FONE700 units daisy-chain across roughly forty metres, and when paired with a CAM550 the ceiling system tracks each talker's position and steers the camera lens to them. Ceiling audio is what turns a correctly specified camera into a complete room.
The second moment is different: the camera position is right but the room PC is in a server room, an equipment rack, or a separate control space. Standard USB cabling fails at roughly five metres. The UE1 extender carries full USB 3.0 over CAT cabling to roughly one hundred metres, powers over the same line with PoE++, and removes the cable run from the design entirely — the camera mounts where the room needs it, not where the cable reaches. Both ship alongside the cameras from the same Dubai stock, on the same order.
