Auto Tracking Camera Dubai: ten different behaviours, one camera matched to your venue.
Somewhere in Dubai today, a venue is signing off a "tracking camera" that will disappoint them in October — because the phrase gets sold as one product and it is at least ten different behaviours. Auto framing that reframes a wide shot. Presenter tracking that actually follows a person. Zone switching that never follows anyone. Voice-steered lenses, ceiling-audio steering, preset recall, matrix switching — each with a different trigger and a different result on the screen the audience watches. This page separates all ten, then matches the right AVer camera to your venue with AED bands from Dubai stock — so the behaviour you imagined is the behaviour that gets commissioned.
Vector Digital Systems has supplied and installed venue AV from Dubai since 2009 and is the authorised AVer distributor for the UAE — tracking cameras quoted against Dubai stock, commissioned with exclusion zones and tracking areas configured, and the behaviour named in writing before anything is signed.
Nobody budgeted for an operator
The venue got built. The hall is right, the screen is right, the audience shows up — and then Friday arrives, or third period, or the monthly council session, and someone realises the camera needs a human being standing behind it. Every single time. That person was never in the budget, and pulling them off other work every period is the cost that never appears on the AV quotation.
Auto-tracking exists to delete that line item. The camera follows the khateeb, the lecturer, the council member — commissioned once, operated by nobody, the same steady shot every session. The catch is the word itself: "tracking" covers ten different behaviours, and buying the wrong one means the camera technically works while doing the wrong thing. Separating them is the whole job of this page.
Match the camera to the venue, not the other way round
Start from what the room is, not from a model number someone mentioned. The ladder runs from a single-lecturer classroom to a broadcast-grade auditorium, with the band each rung actually costs in Dubai.
| Family | Built for | The numbers that decide | UAE band |
|---|---|---|---|
| Classrooms & Training Rooms | Single-lecturer classrooms and training rooms with no dedicated camera operator. | PTC115+ entry auto-tracking camera plus the PTC310 and PTC310H professional AI auto-tracking PTZ, all stocked in Dubai. | PTC115+ AED 4,100-5,500 · PTC310 class AED 6,500-9,000 |
| Lecture Halls & Auditoriums | Larger lecture halls, auditoriums, and venues needing flagship tracking range and reach. | PTC500 and PTC500+ dual-lens auto-tracking cameras plus the TR335 and TR335N AI tracking PTZ, N model with NDI|HX onboard. | PTC500 class AED 11,000-14,500 · TR335 / TR335N AED 7,700-11,000 |
| Dual-Lens Room Awareness (new) | Classrooms, training spaces and meeting rooms that want tracking without ever losing the wide view of the room. | TR322 dual-lens auto-tracking camera — a PTZ lens paired with a dedicated wide-angle tracking lens, Presenter, Zone and Hybrid Tracking modes — shown at InfoComm 2026. | Project-quoted — UAE availability confirming on WhatsApp |
| Broadcast-Grade Venues | Venues planning broadcast-grade output across SDI and NDI production chains. | TR615 — 1-inch sensor, Presenter, Zone and Hybrid modes, HDMI, USB, 3G-SDI, dual 12G-SDI, XLR and NDI|HX3 — announced May 2025, shipping from Q3 2025. | Project-quoted — confirm current timing on WhatsApp |
| Operator-Driven Production | Multi-camera event production directed by a human operator, not automation. | Manual PTZ310, PTZ310N, PTZ330N, PTZ330UNV2 and PTZ211 line, paired with the CL01 joystick controller for multi-angle coverage. | Manual PTZ line AED 2,700-9,500 |
Above this ladder sits the full production line — operator-driven PTZ, matrix boxes and NDI transport — mapped four families at a time on the Pro AV cameras page, with the generation badges decoded before anything goes on a BOQ.
How AVer cameras actually track
Three named modes run the flagship end of the range. Presenter locks visual AI onto one person and follows them across the stage. Zone never follows anyone — it switches between preset areas: lectern, whiteboard, demo bench. Hybrid follows by default and cuts to a zone when the moment calls for it. The TR615 carries all three at broadcast grade — 1-inch sensor, dual 12G-SDI, XLR, NDI|HX3 — and the same logic runs the auto-tracking behaviour down the ladder.
New this month: the TR322 answers the oldest single-lens complaint — losing the room while zoomed tight on the presenter. It pairs the PTZ lens with a dedicated wide lens whose only job is watching the whole room, so the tracking never goes blind in a wide classroom. Shown at InfoComm this week; UAE timing confirming on WhatsApp.
Outputs decide the rest: HDMI on everything, NDI onboard on the N models — TR335N, PTZ310N, PTZ330N, PTZ330UNV2 — straight onto the network with no encoder, and SDI where broadcast chains expect it. An HDMI-only camera still reaches the network through a Caster encoder.
Ten behaviours hiding inside one word
This table is the reason buyers get burned — because no supplier in this market shows it. Two cameras both sold as "tracking" can sit five rows apart here, triggered by different things, producing entirely different pictures. Find the behaviour your venue actually needs, then hold every quote against it.
| Behaviour | What triggers it | What it does on screen |
|---|---|---|
| Auto framing | Visual detection of people | One wide shot reframing as people come and go |
| Smart Gallery | Face detection | Individual participant tiles |
| Smart Composition | Visual AI | A composed group layout |
| Presenter tracking | Visual AI locked to one person | The camera follows the presenter as they move |
| Zone tracking | Preset stage areas | The shot switches between lectern, whiteboard, demo bench |
| Hybrid tracking | Both — visual AI and preset zones | Follows the person, cuts to zones when needed |
| Voice-steered PTZ (boardroom class) | Built-in voice sensors | Lens turns to the speaker (CAM570-style, meeting rooms) |
| 3D ceiling-audio tracking | Ceiling microphone position data | Camera points at the located talker (CAM550 + FONE700) |
| Preset Link | Microphone zone activity | A saved camera preset is recalled per mic zone |
| Matrix voice tracking | Mic coordinates across multiple cameras | The right camera selected automatically (MT300/MT500) |
The last four rows belong to other pages at full depth: voice-steered boardroom PTZ lives on the USB camera page, ceiling-audio steering and Preset Link on the camera and ceiling microphone integration map, and matrix voice tracking on the divisible room page. This page owns the visual-AI venue rows above them.
From the camera to the audience, not just the wall
The audience that matters is often not in the room — the overflow hall, the majlis next door, the remote congregation, the campus network. The tracked shot has to travel, and the route is decided by the camera's outputs. N-model cameras put the feed straight onto the IP network as NDI, no encoder in the chain. HDMI-only cameras pair with a Caster SE 5820 for one channel at 1080p60, or the dual-channel HD Duet Plus F239+ for a wide shot plus a close-up travelling together.
This year the transport layer gained the NC30 — one compact box working both directions between NDI and HDMI at 4K60, replacing what used to be an encoder and decoder pair. The full transport and conversion family sits on the Pro AV cameras page alongside the MT500 production brain for venues switching several tracked cameras automatically.
When this page is the wrong page
A standard 6 to 16 seat Teams or Zoom room does not need a venue tracking camera — it needs the right meeting-room camera, laddered by room band with Dubai stock on the AVer USB camera page. A boardroom where the camera should take its steering from ceiling microphones already installed — Shure, Sennheiser, Nureva, Yamaha — is a pairing question, mapped mic family by mic family on the integration page.
And a partitioned hall where cameras and microphones must reassign themselves when the wall opens is a matrix architecture with its own survey questions — the divisible meeting room page carries it in full. If the venue is a stage, a hall, a chamber or a classroom with one moving presenter, you are already on the right page.
Built for the venue that never booked a crew
The mosque streaming Friday's khutbah to the overflow hall and a few hundred phones — a steady, respectful shot that follows the khateeb and never drifts toward the congregation, with nobody standing behind a camera during prayer. The university recording every lecture in a hall where the lecturer walks to the whiteboard and back all period — no staff member pulled off other work, ever again.
The government chamber where the session recording is the official record, and a speaker drifting out of frame is not a quality issue but a record issue. The training academy running the same room eight times a day, where the camera's behaviour has to be identical at 9am and 4pm. The event hall that hosts a keynote one week and a panel the next — zone presets for one, presenter tracking for the other, on the same hardware.
What automation does not replace
Honesty both ways. Multi-angle event production — several cameras, a director calling shots, cutting between wide, close and audience reaction — still belongs to a human with a CL01 joystick and editorial judgment. Automation removes the operator from single-presenter formats: the lecture, the sermon, the council session, the keynote. It does not direct a broadcast.
And physics still applies. Tracking quality depends on lighting, mounting height, distance and background contrast — a poorly lit or badly positioned camera underperforms an experienced operator no matter which mode it runs. Which is why commissioning here includes exclusion zones and tracking areas configured to the actual room: the camera is told what to ignore — the display wall, the window — before it is trusted with the record. Ask any bidder how they commission exclusion zones before signing.
What an auto-tracking camera costs in Dubai
Bands run deliberately wide to the high side, confirmed against current Dubai stock before any quote — so the number you take to the committee survives the quotation.

The same ladder, exported beyond the UAE.
The taxonomy and the AVer ladder on this page travel the same way the hardware does. Vector Digital Systems ships auto-tracking cameras with the design and commissioning documentation the destination site needs to install correctly, not just a box to unpack.
GCC Government Chambers & Mosques
Council chambers and government facilities across the GCC use the same Preset Link logic as UAE installations — a saved camera preset recalled per microphone zone for dignified, repeatable coverage. Mosques export the same single-camera sermon and majlis streaming setup used in Dubai.
Chamber, majlis and mosque projects quote from Dubai into Saudi Arabia, Oman, Qatar, Iraq and Jordan.
Export enquiryAfrican Universities & Lecture Capture
Universities and training academies across Africa use the PTC and TR range for the same problem UAE campuses have — lecture capture and hybrid classrooms without a camera operator booked for every session. Stock ships from Dubai with the room design confirmed before it travels.
Lecture-capture and campus orders ship to Kenya, Ethiopia, Tanzania, Uganda, Nigeria, Ghana, Egypt and South Africa.
Export enquiryAsian Event Production & Corporate
Event production companies and AV integrators across Asia build NDI and SDI pipelines around the same TR and PTZ line stocked in Dubai, with the CL01 joystick for operator-driven multi-camera coverage. Corporate townhalls and conference venues follow the same venue ladder used for UAE clients.
Event production and corporate venues order into Pakistan, Bangladesh, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, Georgia and Armenia.
Export enquiryDesign and documentation travel with the hardware. Every export order leaves Dubai with the commissioning plan, exclusion-zone configuration, and paperwork the destination site needs — message us on WhatsApp with your country and venue type.
WhatsApp Export DeskFrom venues that retired the camera operator
Our lecture hall camera used to lock onto the projector screen every time slides changed. Vector Digital Systems came back on site, reconfigured the exclusion zones so the display no longer registers as a person, and the PTC310H now holds the lecturer through a 90-minute session. Lecture capture finally runs without someone babysitting the shot from the control room.
We needed council session recordings that looked the same every week without a camera crew booked for every sitting. The TR335N feeds NDI straight onto our network — no separate encoder box to manage — so the recording team pulls the stream directly into our archive system. Coverage has stayed steady and the setup has needed no adjustment since the commissioning visit.
For a single keynote speaker, we let the camera run in presenter mode — it holds a cleaner shot than a junior operator on their fourth event of the week. The moment the format changes to a multi-camera panel, we take the CL01 joystick back over. The handover between automatic and manual is immediate, and the audience never notices the switch.
